Stellar results for Peppa Pig firm Entertainment One

Updated: 22:09 BST, 14 November 2011 Stock market star Entertainment One saw half time profits double following the success of a tie up with online movie retailer LoveFilm. 
The media group, which also distributes children's favourite Peppa Pig and the hugely successful Twilight series, saw pre-tax profit jump to £18.8m from £8.5m for the six months to September 30 on sales of £204.6m. Chief executive Darren Throop said: ‘Our film business performed well and the strength of our release slate improves. I am also delighted with the progress of Peppa Pig in the US and abroad.' Entertainment One's television arm has also benefited from the success of Rookie Blue, a police drama, and The Walking Dead, a programme about zombies which has performed strongly internationally.
